Justin and Rihanna = Gorgeous Babies

Now, More Than Musiq isn't one to prattle on about celebrity love lives, but this hot hook up is too good to pass up.

It's being rumored that Justin Timberlake has dumped his girlfriend of 3 years, Jessica Biel, for Rihanna!

WOAH. It was reported that Timberlake broke it off over the phone, and now him and RiRi are hot and heavy.

As it's not a huge concern of mine that they could be dating, but another Justin/Rihanna duet could be ridiculous awesome!! "Rehab" was just OK, and didn't really feature Timberlake at all...

Happy Anniversary!

Today marks the 30th anniversary of Gloria Gaynor's mega hit "I Will Survive." The song was an international #1 hit that earned Gaynor the 1980 Grammy Award for Best Disco Song.

The track has since taken on a life of its own and has become a staple in pop culture history.

Keep on survivin' Gloria!

If you want to feel empowered jam out to the song below!

Dance Track of the Day

Look out Beyonce, because your little sister is about to steal your thunda!!

Just kidding, that's not really possible since you are WAY more talented that she is, but Solange has released a new single off of her album Sol Angel And The Hadley St. Dreams, and the track is actually pretty good!

The song's called "Would've Been the One", and although her voice can never match B's, the old school seventies funk that Solange brings is good enough to get people moving!

Check it out below!

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs Still 'Rains' Supreme

This weekend's box office saw the family flick Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs hold on to the #1 spot, grossing another $24.6 million, leaving Bruce Willis' new film Surrogates and the remake of Fame in the dust.

The hype for Fame apparently didn't equal to a big opening weekend, with the film only taking in $10 million for a third place finish. Luckily, the film only cost about $18 million to make so it's pretty likely that they'll cover their budget in the long run.

The new Willis flick earned $15 million, good enough for second place, but probably won't earn back the reported $80 million budget it had.

Michael Moore's Capitalism: A Love Story opened only in 4 theaters but made $240,000. The documentary will see a wide release next week. Kind of ironic that a film based on how crappy our economy is can make one big fat white man super rich!

Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Nominations Announced!

The nominations for this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees have been announced, with veteran rockers KISS and the Queen of Disco Donna Summer both snaring nominations. Along with classic artists such as the Hollies, the Stooges, ABBA, and Genesis, two more recent artists have both been nominated as well. The Red Hot Chili Peppers and LL Cool J are both contenders to be inducted this year!

To be eligible, an artist or band had to have released their first album 25 years ago; this is RHCP and LL Cool J's first year of eligibility and they both were able to get nominated!

Congratulations to them, as well as everyone else who was nominated!

The dozen nominees will be cut down to 5 by January after voting has been complete, so we'll have to wait until then to see who will actually be inducted.

Here are the 12 artists contending:

Red Hot Chili Peppers, LL Cool J, ABBA, Genesis, KISS, Donna Summer, The Stooges, The Hollies, The Chantels, Jimmy Cliff, Darlene Love, and Laura Nyro.

Jay-Z Still #1, Muse, Whitney, Not Far Behind

Jay-Z retains the #1 position on the Billboard 200 this week, as "The Blueprint 3" sold another 298,000 copies, only a 37% decline from last week. This is a relatively small dip for Jay, since most albums that debut big drop over 50% in the second week.
Whitney Houston's comeback album "I Look To You" move back up to the #2 spot, thanks in part to her two-day stint on the Oprah Winfrey Show. The album saw a whopping 77% increase as it sold 156,000 copies. It's interesting that the album is fairing so well considering that no singles off the disc have become hits!

Debuting at #3 is UK group Muse, who scores their best debut yet in the USA. "The Resistance" sold 128,000 copies, and was helped by their stellar performance at the MTV VMA's.

Two new Hip-Hop/R&B acts debut in the top 10, as Kid Cudi's "Man on the Moon: The End of Day" comes in at #4, and Drake's first EP bows at #6 selling 73,000.

Here's a rundown of the Top 10 albums this week:

1. Jay-Z "The Blueprint 3" (298,000)

2. Whitney Houston "I Look to You" (156,000)

3. Muse "The Resistance" (128,000)

4. Kid Cudi "Man on the Moon: The End of Day" (104,000)

5. Miley Cyrus "The Time of Our Lives" (75,000)

6. Drake "So Far Gone" (73,000)

7. Lil Boosie "Superbad" (49,000)

8. Taylor Swift "Fearless" (46,000)

9. Megadeth "Endgame" (45,000)

10. Black Eyed Peas "The E.N.D." (40,000)

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to Rock Queen Joan Jett, who turns 49-years-old today! If anything, Jett is known for one of most definitive female rock tracks of all time, with "I Love Rock N Roll", which has been remade countless times (Britney Spears in Crossroads anyone?) and featured in a ridiculous amounts of movies since it was released way back in 1981. Although she didn't write it or wasn't even the first to record it, the track is all Jett.

Happy Birthday!!

Muse Still Big in the UK, Not So Much in the USA

Muse scores their third #1 album on the UK charts, as their album The Resistance debuts at the top of the charts this week.

The band has sold over 8 million records worldwide, but still remain relatively unknown here in the states. I think that's about to change however, after their performance at last week's MTV VMA's, not to mention that they were also feature on the soundtrack to Twilight.

Their latest single, "The Uprising" is a great track that has potential to break through in a big way!

New Poll: Artist of the Year

Now that the Emmy Awards have come and gone, we have a new poll on More Than Musiq! The question this month is "Who do you think the Artist of the Year is so Far?"

The contenders are Taylor Swift, Kings of Leon, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Miley Cyrus, and the Black Eyed Peas. You can also vote for Other, if you think it should be someone else! Feel free to comment on who you think deserves to be the Artist of the Year!

It can go tons of different ways. The Kings of Leon had a huge breakout year with their hits "Use Somebody" and "Sex on Fire." But obviously there was no bigger new comer than Lady Gaga, who scored multiple #1 singles and pushed the boundaries of pop music. And you can't count on the Black Eyed Peas, who have had two monster singles "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Gotta Feeling" which have both topped the charts.

Emmys Telecast Funniest Awards Show EVER

The Emmy Awards were on last night, hosted by How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris, and it's safe to say that it was probably the funniest and most entertaining award show I have EVER seen!

NPH delivered such an entertaining performance as host for the night, hitting every joke and moving with every punch (after he lost to Jon Cryer from Two and a Half Men for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, he proceeded to pout and hold a grudge against Cryer, asking him to show the envelope as actual proof that he won.)

But besides the fantastic hosting duties, the entire night was filled with laughs! The first award of the evening was for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, and for fun the nominees (Amy Poehler, Kristin Wiig, Elizabeth Perkins, Jane Krakowski, Vanessa Williams, and Kristin Chenoweth) all wore different pieces of eye wear, with Poehler wearing a pirate eye patch, Wiig holding up a monacle, and Vanessa Williams being the diva that she is and shaking her head at the camera telling everyone that she would never go along with the joke.

The show delivered tons of laughs, and only a few suprises. Chenoweth was the suprise winner for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy series, for her role in the already canceled Pushing Daisy's. Another surprise was in the Best Actress in a Comedy Series, with the award going to Toni Collette for her role in the United States of Tara, beating out favorite and frontrunner Tina Fey.

But other than that, it was business as usual. 30 Rock won for Best Comedy Series, Mad Men won for Best Drama Series, Glenn Close won for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Damages, while Bryan Cranston was his second straight award for Best Actor in a Drama for his part in Breaking Bad.

What a fun award show season this is turning out to be! First we had all that drama with the MTV VMA's, and now we had a hilarious Emmy Awards! All I know is that the Oscars and Grammys better deliver this year!

Poll Results

You all voted and picked Family Guy to win the Best Comedy Series award at the Emmys!! The animated series garnered 27% of the votes, good for first place, and just beating out The Office, which received 22% of the votes.

Unfortunately neither show won!

30 Rock took home the statue AGAIN. I can't complain though, because 30 Rock really is the funniest show on TV!

Divas Live 2009 Delivers

The Divas Live show has been off the air for a couple of years now, so I was wondering how the 2009 show would stack up against some of the previous ones. And to be honest, it wasn't that bad! I mean, there was no Whitney, Mariah, or Tina, but we did have a solid group of females that could really sanggggg (minus Miley Cyrus, wtf was she doing there?)

With divas Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, Adele, Jordin Sparks, Jennifer Hudson and Cyrus all performing a number of songs (even some special duets with the likes of Sheryl Crow, Melissa Ethridge, and Stevie Wonder) the show turned out to be a nice spectacle of some of the best voices in music today.

The best were Adele and Kelly Clarkson, who delivered some awesome performances last night. Adele was probably the least well known of all the divas, but her sultry yet soft voice wowed the crowd. Clarkson's powerhouse voice delivered as usual, performing "Already Gone" and closing out the show with Ethridge.

My only complaint is that usually there is a huge finale, with all of the divas singing a popular song together, but that didn't happen this year.

Too bad, I would have loved to see Miley Cyrus try and keep up with Clarkson, Lewis and Hudson!

New Music: Leona Lewis

Leona Lewis has released the first single from her upcoming second CD. The track is called "Happy", and although Lewis' vocals are definitely on point as usual, the song just doesn't do it for me.

It doesn't have that certain something that made you listen to "Bleeding Love" 35 times in a row before you got sick of it.

She performed on the finale of America's Got Talent, check out her performance below!

As an homage to Leona's young career, I've also put a link on from her days when she was competing for the top spot on the British show X Factor (which she won and was the platform for catapulting her into superstardom.) Her performance of Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing" will give you chills!

Check out both performances!!

Kanye. Lady Gaga Coming to Worcester

GREAT NEWS! Kanye West and Lady Gaga are touring together this year, and they are coming to Worcester!

The two superstars are coming to the DCU Center on December 16th, and I'm sure the concert will be ridiculously awesome!

It has been said that the two performers will not be performing one at a time, but actually TOGETHER on stage for a Kanye/Gaga mash up! That would be amazing!!

I wonder if Gaga's having second thoughts after Kanye's childish temper tantrum at the VMA's?

The two are calling it the "Fame Kills" tour, go online to look for more dates!

RIP

Mary Travers of the band Peter, Paul and Mary had died at the age of 72 after a long battle with leukemia. The 1960's folk band helped define a generation of soft folk rock, and are probably best known for their song "Puff The Magic Dragon."

Rest in Peace

Dance Track of the Day

There's a great new dance track that's been getting some heavy airplay on dance radio, it's the Noisettes "Don't Upset the Rhythm," and it has this great retro feel to it!

The band is from London and have already scored chart success on their side of the pond, and now with "Don't Upset the Rhythm" moving up to #4 on the Dance/Club Play Charts, they are now reaching the USA!

Beyonce Smells Bad

R&B Queen B Beyonce has just been sued by Abercrombie and Fitch. Well, kind of. The company says that Beyonce's new fragrance line would infringe on its own Fierce Fragrance brand, which pulls in millions of dollars each year.

Beyonce just recently signed with the world's largest fragrance company, Coty, and plans on releasing a new perfume line in 2010.

I guess Abercrombie is getting a little bit ahead of themselves!

Don't Judge Me

Don't make any rash judgments when I say this, but I REALLY want to see Jennifer's Body this weekend, and I think I'm going to have to!

I'm not a huge fan of the scary movie, but what I've been reading and watching online makes this movie look more like a dark comedy that could potentially end up a cult classic!

Megan Fox looks friggin CRAZY in the previews, and Amanda Seyfried (From Mama Mia, Mean Girls, and Big Love) is fantastic in anything she does! Not to mention the fact that the film is was written by Oscar winner Diablo Cody (she wrote the screenplay for Juno).

I think that the film has the potential to rake in a lot of money this weekend; although Fox isn't a super talented actress, she has been getting tons of attention lately for her roles in the Transformer movies, as well as for what she says in the media. I wouldn't be surprised if the film took in around $30 million.

I reccommend that everyone go see it this weekend and we can all see what we think of the movie on Monday! Halloween's coming up, so why not get a little freaked out!

This is Getting a Little Excessive

The Black Eyed Peas have the #1 single in the country for the 23rd WEEK in a ROW, as "I Gotta Feeling" holds tight at the pole position for an 11th straight week. The song replaced their former #1 smash "Boom Boom Pow" which lead the chart for 12 weeks.

This is ridiculous! The Peas have had the number one song in the country for practically half a year!!

As much as I am happy for their unbelievable success, I think it's time for some fresh blood to take the #1 spot.

There are a couple contenders at the moment vying for the top spot, with British R&B singer Jay Sean's debut single "Down" nipping at the Peas' heals at #2. Right behind "Down" is the new hit by Miley Cyrus "Party in the USA", which debuted at #2 a few weeks back but has been steadily gaining momentum again to try and make a jump to the top.

And don't count out the chart's new queen, Lady Gaga, who's "Paparazzi" skyrockets from 44-18 this week. I'd say her performance at the VMA's definitely had something to do with the big climb!

Here's a breakdown of the Top 10 songs in the country this week!

1. Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling" (11 weeks at #1)

2. Jay Sean "Down"

3. Miley Cyrus "Party in the USA"

4. Jay-Z Featuring Rihanna and Kanye West "Run This Town"

5. Kings of Leon "Use Somebody"

6. Taylor Swift "You Belong With Me"

7. Jason DeRulo "Watcha Say"

8. Mariah Carey "Obsessed"

9. Pitbull "Hotel Room Service"

10. Cobra Starship Featuring Leighton Meester "Good Girls Go Bad"

Spidey 4 on the Way...Now is that Necessary?

A date has been set for the release of the 4th Spiderman movie, the film will be slinging into theaters on May 5th 2011. The studio has finally been able to secure stars Toby Maguire and Kirsten Dunst for the fourth (and final?) installment of the massively successful franchise, but to be honest, do we really want a 4th spiderman?

I stopped after #2, and I heard Spiderman 3 was nothing special, so I have to wonder why they are going ahead with another?

Well duh, for the $$$$!!!

Eonline reports that the first 3 films grossed a whopping $2.5 billion dollars worldwide, and since Maguire and Dunst haven't been in the spotlight lately, they probably need a paycheck!

Happy Birthday Superstar!

A very happy birthday goes out to SNL alum Molly Shannon! The comedian turns 45 years-old today!

After leaving Saturday Night Live in 2001, Molly able to create a successful movie career, starring in such blockbusters as Evan Almighty, Taladega Nights, and Marie Antoinette. Her latest role has been the star in the NBC show Kath and Kim, which was unfortunately canceled at 17 episodes due to poor ratings.

Let's hope she'll land some more fun movie roles!

Jay-Z's "Blueprint 3" Debuts at #1, Breaks Record

Jay-Z collects his 11th #1 album on the Billboard 200 this week, as "The Blueprint 3" rockets to the top spot, selling 476,000 copies.

This pushes Jay ahead of Elvis Presley, who managed 10 #1 albums during his time, for the most #1 albums by a solo artists in history! He is now only behind the Beatles for the most #1's overall (the Fab 4 has 19.)

Congrats to Jay, I'm sure his stellar performance at Sunday's VMA's definitely helped his numbers, as well as his hit single "Run This Town" with Rihanna and Kanye West.

Worcester on Jay Leno

last night on the Jay Leno Show, the king of late night had Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise on the show, who are filming their new movie "Wichita" at the Worcester Airport. They two stars were on via satellite from Worcester!!

What's funny is that Cruise and Diaz are being interviewed from within the airport, and there is absolutely no one to be seen. Now, they may have closed the airport down for the mega stars but on a given day there are only about 5 people there anyway...

Don't Forget to Vote!

There are only 3 more days to vote for who you think should win this year's Emmy Award for Best Comedy series!!

At the moment, Family Guy is in the lead with 35% of the votes, but there is a 4 WAY TIE for the runner up, with 30 Rock, Entourage, Flight of the Conchords, and The Office all garnering 14% of the votes.

Keep it up!

Madonna Makes it an Even 40 #1's on the Dance Chart

This week we celebrate the Queen of Pop's massive success, as she scores her 40th #1 single on Billboard's Dance/Club Play Songs. Her latest tune "Celebration" follows 39 previous songs by the Material Girl, including classics like "Open Your Heart", "Like a Prayer", and "Into the Groove."

This is impressive, but it would have been even more impressive if "Celebration" were an actual hit single.

The song stalled on the Hot 100, not even breaking in to the top 70. This chart tracks the most popular songs in any genre, and although the Dance/Club Genre is legit, it is a very small chart compared to the Hot 100.

But since Madonna does have 12 #1 songs on the Hot 100, I guess we can overlook that little tidbit.

Congrats Madge!

Kanye May Have SERIOUSLY Screwed Up

Kanye, Kanye, Kanye, you dumb dumb rapper.

The firestorm of criticism that West got from storming the stage has not died down, in fact, it's running even more rampant, as it is now being reported that Kiss 95.1 in Florida is boycotting the rapper because of what he said during his tirade.

OUCH.

The station says that they are asking listeners whether or not they should keep the ban or play his music, so it might not last forever. But still, that blows for Kanye.

On the up side, Jay Leno is reaping the benefits of Kanye's escapades, seeing HUGE ratings last night for the debut of the Jay Leno Show with Kanye as his first guest. And Leno didn't shy away from asking some pretty intense questions, asking Kanye what his deceased mother would think of his actions.

HARSH!

In even MORE good news for people who've benefited off of Kanye's stupidity, the MTV VMA's this year saw a 17% increase in viewers from last year's awards. That is HUGE! over 27 million people tuned in and witnessed Kanye make a fool of himself.

Good, I'm glad. I hope this brings him down a level.

2009 VMA's = Highly Entertaining PR Stunts

The VMA's have come and gone, without leaving a trail of "drama" and "crazy outbursts" that have sent Twitter fanatics into an epileptic twitting frenzy.

Of course the biggest news of the night was when Kanye West stormed the stage during Taylor Swift's acceptance of the Best Female Video award for "You Belong With Me." West took the mic and announced that Beyonce had "made the best video of the decade," leaving Swift to stand their shocked, confused, and about to cry.

But everything last night seemed a little too staged for my opinion. Kanye, you've stormed the stage before, that's enough. You didn't win, get over it. No one really swept the awards last night, instead, each major nominee (Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Britney, Eminem) all took home maybe one or two major awards, allowing MTV to have every big name make an appearance and to hopefully boost ratings.

Spears won Best Pop Video for the second year in a row, but this year she actually deserved it. Beyonce was a CLASS ACT, when she won Video of the Year for "Single Ladies" she brought Swift on stage to finish the speech Kanye had interupted.

All in all, a highly entertaining show. Highlights were Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' finale performance, along with Pink flipping her shit on stage while singing Sober.

Thanks for an entertaining night MTV!

Britney Wins VMA!

Britney just won the VMA for Best Pop Video for "Womanizer."

WOOP WOOP!

She totally deserved to win, she is the definition of POP!!!!

Keep checking in for more VMA updates!

Kanye West is an Attention Grabbing Douche!

While Taylor Swift was the surprise winner of Best Female Video, during her acceptance speech that douche bag Kanye West stormed the stage and dissed her, saying that "Beyonce made one of the best videos of all time"

What a dumbass! He really is just trying to get attention!

Acoustic Awesome-ness

Cascada has just recently performed their latest hit "Evacuate the Dance Floor" on a German talk show, and this acoustic version is phenomenal! The vocals are on point!

The song is creeping up the Billboard hot 100 towards the Top 40, and I think it could definitely go top 10!

Check it out below!

Big Idol News

Ellen Degeneres announced on her talk show that she will be replacing Paul Abdul as a judge on American Idol!!!!!!

YESSSSssssssssssSSSs

This is great news! Although Ellen has no musical background, her humor and sensitive nature will definitely go over well with contestants and fans alike!

And to be honest, it's not as if Paula was a musical genius either.

When I thought American Idol was done for, they pull a huge move like this and redeem themselves! Let's see how everything will pan out when the show premiers!

More Good News For Taylor!

Taylor Swift's record label has just released a statement saying that the country superstar has sold over 10 million albums! Yes, they mean actual albums, not digital downloads! But Swift has also sold an astonishing 20 million digital downloads of her songs as well!

Congratulations!

Houston, We have a #1 Album

Whitney Houston makes another leap in the right direction, as her comeback album I Look to You debuts at #1 on the Billboard 200 this week, selling over 300,000 copies of her latest disc. This is Houston's biggest opening sales week since Soundscan first started tracking data in 1991, and her first #1 album since 1993's The Bodyguard Soundtrack.

This should be a pleasant surprise for the diva, since many industry experts predicted that she would sell around 250,000 copies in the album's first week. It should come as another surprise that it sold so well since neither of the two singles released, "Million Dollar Bill" and "I Look to You" are fairing that great on the charts.

But we'll take what we can get! This is the first sizable debut in a long time, and we all know that the music business needs as much good news as the can get!!

Paisley Leads CMA Nominations, Swift Not Far Behind

Country star Brad Paisley grabs the most nominations for this year's Country Music Awards, garnering 6 nominations, including Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. But the big talk around town is Ms. Taylor Swift, who is the lone female artist to be up for Entertainer of the Year.

Swift snagged a total of 4 nominations, and will compete against favorite Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, Miranda Lambert, and Reba McEntire for Female Vocalist of the Year.

Country music has always been a male-dominated genre, but this year is the year of the females!!

In April Underwood took home Entertainer of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards, becoming only the 7th female to ever win, and in the same awards show Swift won Album of the Year for her 3x platinum disc Fearless.

Swift deserves to take home the Entertainer of the Year Award; no one has had such a successful year in ANY genre, and I think she'll be the one to beat!

Dance Track of the Day

Man, every time you think you've heard the last of Cascada, they come out with another dance jam to blast on the radio!

Their latest hit is "Evacuate the Dance Floor" a #1 hit already in Europe and now it is starting to climb up the charts here in the states!

What makes Cascada able to come back again and again is the fact that lead singer Natalie Horler has the pipes to carry a club-stomping song like this.

Cascada has done an acoustic version of the song as well, so you can really hear Natalie's voice!

Check it out both versions below!

Bullock Can't Beat Basterds

The long holiday weekend saw some new releases at the Box Office, but none were good enough to stop The Final Destination and Inglourious Basterds. Both films hang at #1 and #2, with Sandra Bullock's new film All About Steve having to settle for the #3 spot.

Even though the film has been panned by critics as one of the worst of the year (so far) Bullock still has strong box office mojo, as the movie grossed a decent $14 million. It probably helped that she is coming off the heels of her smash hit The Proposal, and Co-star Bradley Cooper is also starting to become a household name.

The Final Destination and Inglourious Basterds took in $15.4 and $15 million over the weekend, good enough for Basterds to almost hit the coveted $100 million mark.

Jay-Z, Rihanna & Kanye Make Splash Across the Pond

"Run This Town," Jay-Z's single with Rihanna and Kanye West entered the UK Singles Chart at #1 this week, ahead of the Sugababes' "Get Sexy" which becomes the girl group's 16th top 10 hit.

"Run This Town" is already a top 5 hit in the U.S. and has become one of Jay's biggest tracks in quite some time.

Considering that his collaboration with Rihanna on her huge #1 single "Umbrella" was so successful, perhaps the two should just come out with an entire album of duets!

Janet VMA Tribute to Michael

Janet Jackson has been working on a tribute performance to her brother, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and rumor has it that it will be something to remember!

Choreographers like Frank Gatson and Travis Payne are involved, and of course, Janet can hold her own on the dance floor as well.

Can't wait to see it! Tune in to MTV this Sunday at 9pm to watch the entire show!

More Than Musiq Predicted It!

As mentioned in an earlier blog entry in August, it was said that UK R&B singer Jay Sean was about to break through in a big way, with his song "Down."

Well, I hate to say I told you so, but his single has just moved into the #2 slot on this week's Billboard Hot 100, just behind the Black Eyed Peas' long-running #1 "I Gotta Feeling." For the past 4 weeks the song has been awarded the Greatest Gainer in Sale and Airplay Award, which could be an indicator that it will be the song to break the Peas' ridiculous run of 22 consecutive weeks at #1.

Coming in at #3 this week is Miley Cyrus with "Party in the USA," which has become her biggest hit to date. The rest of the top 5 is rounded out by the Kings of Leon who's "Use Somebody" reaches a new peak of #4, and Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me" which falls to #5.

Here is the Top 10 singles in the country this week:

1. Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling"

2. Jay Sean Featuring Lil Wayne "Down"

3. Miley Cyrus "Party in the USA"

4. Kings of Leon "Use Somebody"

5. Taylor Swift "You Belong With Me"

6. Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West "Run This Town"

7. Drake "Best I Ever Had"

8. Keri Hilson Featuring Kanye West and Ne-Yo "Knock You Down"

9. Pitbull "Hotel Room"

10. Cobra Starship Featuring Leighton Meester "Good Girls Go Bad"

Madonna = Still Relevant

Madonna's Sticky and Sweet tour finishes its run today in Tel Aviv, becoming the second highest grossing tour in HISTORY.

The outing, which began in August of 2008, grossed a reported $408 million, second only to the $558 million the Rolling Stones took in during their Bigger Bang tour in 2005-2007.

Considering that Madonna's last studio album Hard Candy, only sold a minuscule 714,000 copies in the U.S. she should probably stick to touring to bring in the big bucks.

Gleefully Giddy

So I was able to watch the pilot for Fox's new show Glee, and if you are in to realllly good singing and musicals, then this show is for you!

Now, in terms of plot and characters, it's pretty much as good as a Fox show can get, but what makes the show special is the ridiculously entertaining performances that the lead cast members put on during the episode.

Lea Michele plays Rachel Berry, the super talented lead singer of the glee club, who knows she's got talent. Her performance with leading man and stone cold fox Finn (played by Cory Monteith) of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" is so good it's scary.

I'm not going to put a youtube link for you to go listen to this song because I want you to go on Itunes and BUY IT!!

New Music: Carrie Underwood

The first single from Carrie Underwood's upcoming third album has been released, and to be honest, it's not that good!

The song is called "Cowboy Casanova," it's a mid-tempo-ish country-rock-ish sounds-alot-like-"Before He Cheats"-ish song that just doesn't do it for me.

Time will tell if the song catches on at radio, but I think the Underwood team needs to do a little rethinking in terms of a first single. Considering that her previous two albums sold a combined 10 million copies in the United States alone, there is a lot riding on her to deliver another set of hits.

Since Underwood won Season 4 of American Idol, she has become undoubtedly one of country music's biggest stars. In terms of the sheer volume of albums she has sold, she is still slightly behind original Idol Kelly Clarkson, but it can be argued that Underwood is more popular due to the fact that she has never had a single flop on the charts.

Aside for her American Idol victory song (which always sucks for any winner) every one of her singles has gone to #1 or #2 on the Country singles chart. She has amassed 7 #1 singles alone, and has won practically every award you could think of, including 4 Grammy Awards, 5 American Music Awards, 5 People's Choice Awards, and a ridiculous amount more.

Her biggest accomplishment to date is when she won "Entertainer of the Year" at the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, which has only been given to 7 females in the history of the awards.

Check out her new song below and judge for yourself!
