
This past weekend saw two new horror films debut big, with The Final Destination and Halloween both arriving in the top 3.
The Final Destination grossed $28.3 million to take the #1 spot for the weekend, while Halloween took in an estimated $17.4 million to come in at #3. This is the biggest debut for a "Final Destination" movie, while the Rob Zombie directed Halloween becomes the second biggest opener in that franchise.
At #2 this weekend is Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, which grossed another $20 million to brings its two-week total to over $70 million.
