Friends With Benefits = Cute, Stupid, Fun

Justin Timberlake has put his music career on hold to pursue the actor's lifestyle, and so far he's done a pretty decent job at convincing people he can deliver the goods. Case in point - Friends with Benefits.

The movie is a typical rom-com featuring two hotties (one obviously being JT and the other is the always stunning Mila Kunis), who decide to to start hooking up while maintaining the idea that they won't get emotionally involved blah blah blah...

The point is, Timberlake has proven to the world that he is a decent actor; he's not an amazing actor (yet), but he's definitely got his former flame beat.

But here's the thing - Justin wasn't just an okay musician, he was a pretty frickin' talented musician with one of the most distinguishable voices/styles in popular music.

So although we've accepted the fact that he may be on the silver screen for the time being, I think the most of his fans are still waiting for his return to the music world.

A Bloody Good Time

Check out True Blood hotties Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer on the most recent cover of Entertainment Weekly Magazine.

LOVE IT!

Who caught the season 4 premiere on Sunday? It was epic! The show isn't realllly about vampires anymore, it's so much more than that!!

Sookie is as crazy as ever, being all fairy-like and sh*t. But I must admit the premiere was definitely entertaining!

What did you think?

It's Britney Spears Tuesday!!!

It's Britney Spears Tuesday Y'all!!

Today marks the release of Brit's SEVENTH studio album (yes, lucky number 7!) and there are she has officially taken over the media world.

Not only did she KILL it on Good Morning America this morning, but MTV is dedicating the entire day to her, and also airing a new mini-documentary about the lead up to the release of Femme Fatale.

Britney has had 5 of her albums debut at #1 (only Blackout, missed the top spot in 2007, coming in a #2 behind some heated controversy), and it Femme is expected to become big numba six!!

I don't want to jinx it, but I predict the album to open in the 375-450K area, but Britney can always surprise us with some BIG numbers.

I bought my album bright and her this morning, DID YOU!!?!

The Roommate #1 in Another Dreary Box Office Weekend

In another blah weekend at the Box Office, Leighton Meester's horror flick The Roommate came out on top with a reported $15.6 million.

The debut is not bad for the film, which had a budget of around $16 million, but it was another down weekend for the U.S. box office, that hasn't seen any big numbers in months.

Coming in behind The Roommate is the James-Cameron-produced Sanctum, which earned only $9.2 million, (a far cry from the record-breaking Avatar, but then again, there weren't any sexually active blue aliens in this flick.

Here's a rundown of this weekend's top 10 movies:

1. The Roommate ($15.6 million)
2. Sanctum ($9.2 million)
3. No Strings Attached ($8.4 million)
4. The King's Speech ($8.3 million)
5. The Green Hornet ($6.1 million)
6. The Rite ($5.6 million)
7. The Mechanic ($5.4 million)
8. True Grit ($4.8 million)
9. The Dilemma ($3.45 million)
10. Black Swan ($3.4 million)

Usher and Beiber Lock Down Top 2

Usher's latest album Raymond V. Raymond debuts at the top of the Billboard 200 this week, selling a solid 329,000 copies, displacing last week's top seller and Usher protege Justin Beiber and his second album My World 2.0, which falls to #2.

Beiber's disc actually saw a 3% increase in sales to 291,000. It's extremely rare for an album to post a sales GAIN after its debut week, so congrats to the little guy!

This is Usher's third straight #1 album, starting with Confessions in 2004, and Here I Stand in 2008. Unfortunately he has not been able to reach the monster smash of Confessions, which sold over 10 million copies in the U.S. and turned him into an R&B/Pop powerhouse.

Here's a rundown of this week's top 10 albums:

1. Usher Raymond V Raymond (329,000)

2. Justin Beiber My World 2.0 (291,000)

3. Various Artists Now 33 (123,000)

4. Erykah Badu New Amerykah, Part Two: Return of the Ankh (110,000)

5. Lady Antebellum Need You Now (87,000)

6. Monica Still Standing (81,000)

7. Alan Jackson Freight Train (72,000)

8. Justin Beiber My World (63,000)

9. Lady Gaga The Fame (49,000)

10. Black Eyed Peas The E.N.D. (43,000)

Britney Named Music's Sexiest

Billboard released the results of their sexiest women in music poll, and coming in first, (no surprise here), was Britney Spears!!

The pop icon scored 27% of the vote, good enough to beat out runner-up Beyonce, who only received 13%.

This has been a good week for Brit-Brit! Not only was she named the sexiest woman in music, but her new ads for Candies just debuted all over the world!! And she looks ferocious, if do say so myself!

Other sexy females who made the list include Miley Cyrus (WTF?) at #3, Rihanna at #4, and Lady Gaga, who rounds out the top 5.

On the men's side, Adam Lambert came in first with 20% of the total votes.

Really? That drama QUEEN? Pa-Lease.

Other deserving men on the list include Nick Jonas at #2, d-bag Chris Brown at #3, Justin Timberlake at #4, and Enrique Iglesias in the 5 spot.

What do you think of these results??

Justin and Rihanna = Gorgeous Babies

Now, More Than Musiq isn't one to prattle on about celebrity love lives, but this hot hook up is too good to pass up.

It's being rumored that Justin Timberlake has dumped his girlfriend of 3 years, Jessica Biel, for Rihanna!

WOAH. It was reported that Timberlake broke it off over the phone, and now him and RiRi are hot and heavy.

As it's not a huge concern of mine that they could be dating, but another Justin/Rihanna duet could be ridiculous awesome!! "Rehab" was just OK, and didn't really feature Timberlake at all...

(Sigh) No Vampire Nudity

Sorry to burst all you Twilight Fanatics' bubbles, but the rumors that there would be a nude scene in the upcoming New Moon film are false.

Jamie Campbell Bower, the studly new actor playing ancient vamp Caius in the film, admits that he was only joking when he said that the new movie would have a bathhouse scene with all the main members of the Volturi clan stripping down to their birthday suits.

Too bad. I guess we'll just have to settle for hideous looking Robert Pattinson taking his shirt off instead.

Vampire Mania Continues

This week's issue of Entertainment Weekly features two vampire hearthrobs, Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson) from Twilight and Bill Compton (played by Stephen Moyer) from the HBO series True Blood.

Is it hot in here or is just me?

It looks like the vampire craze is still in full swing. As mentioned earlier this week, True Blood was just given the goahead to start filming on season 3, while the second film in the Twilight Saga, New Moon, is set to come out in November.

Who'd win in a fight, Edward or Bill?

TV of the Week: True Blood Bonanza!

Now as I mentioned before, this blog is for music lovers and pop culture fanatics alike, so some of these posts will stray from the musical map.

On to Television: Since my roommates and I decided to splurge on paying for HBO and DVR, we have been pumped about our Sunday night lineup: True Blood at 9pm, Hung, at 10pm, and Entourage at 10:30.

The second season of True Blood has been f-ing bonkers! There is more bloodsucking vampire orgies and crazy shape shifting mayhem than ever. AND I LOVE IT. This might be one of the most interesting shows on television today. With crazy amount of underlying social themes, it speaks not only on the social injustices that our country is actually dealing with, but it mixes in a little vampire crazy, which everyone loves.

Hung, in its first season, has been slowly picking up, improving after the so-so premiere episode where we were introduced to Ray, a struggling high school basketball coach and teacher who resorts to whoring himself out to pay the bills. Now that he's more comfortable with the fact that he pleases woman for a living, he's a lot more fun.

The boys from Entourage are still back to their wild antics, but finally we see that Vinny is back on top. After watching his star fall for seasons, he is finally on his game, starring in Martin Scorsese's newest flick. The best part of the new season is the growth of Turtle, moving away from Vinny's drive into a man all his own; a man dating Jamie Lynn Sigler as a matter of fact.
