Chris Brown - Is it OK to Like Him Again Yet?

It has been over two years since Chris Brown assaulted R&B queen (and then girlfriend) Rihanna, resulting in a domestic violence charge and the inevitable class of his career.

His "comeback" album Graffiti tanked in a BIG way, and the former super star who scored multiple #1 hits and platinum albums was suddenly left out in the cold. And you know what, people didn't really care. He made his bed, and he had to lay in that sh**.

But still, people didn't forget that this guy used to be at the top of his game. He was named Artist of the Year in 2007, wowing crowds with his superb dancing and spot on vocals. No one could deny that the kid was talented.

And now, in 2011, it looks as if the masses has finally accepted Brown's apology, and have welcomed him back into the spotlight.

His latest album F.A.M.E, was a hit right out of the box debuting at #1 in the U.S., and has produced multiple smash hits, including the insanely catchy "Look at Me Now" (welcome back Busta Rhymes!)

So what do you think? Is Chris Brown back for good? Has the American Public moved on from that terrible incident years ago? Or will we always remember him as the douche bag that beat up our fave Barbadian girl?

I guess time will time.

Say Hello to...Shontelle?

Shontelle has been hovering below the R&B pop radar for years now. She reached the top 20 on the pop charts with 2008's "T-Shirt", but her real breakthrough did not come until 2010, when her single "Impossible" became a multi-format crossover hit, which finally earned her some recognition in the music biz.

But still, with all of the Rihannas and Beyonces of the world, she has yet to truly solidify her position as a consistent player on the charts.

And with her latest single "Say Hello to Goodbye", Shontelle tries to again breakthrough, with mixed results.

The track is gaining airplay on mainstream top 40, and it's definitely catchy, but there's something missing in the song, as with all of her other singles, that holds it back.

Personality.

Sure, she has a sweet enough voice. The production is solid, but if I heard this track on the radio (and wasn't such a pop music nerd), I would be like "cute song, but I'm bored."

Take a listen to "Say Hello to Goodbye" and see for yourself.

Poll Results: Love You Some Modern Fam

The polls are officially closed, and it when it comes to your favorite comedy on television, there's a clear winner:

Modern Family!

The Emmy winning sitcom garnered 50% of the votes, edging out How I Met Your Mother and Glee who came in a close 2nd and 3rd.

And I must agree with the results, because Modern Fam is absolutely one of the funniest shows to come along in years! The entire ensemble is hilarious, with one of the best group of young actors (Rico Rodriguez, Noland Gould, Ariel Winter, and the lovely Sarah Highland) ever!

The show has already picked up 6 Emmy Awards, and don't expect it to slow down any time soon (last week's episode was HILARIOUS).

Stay tuned for another More Than Musiq poll to come soon!!

Lady Gaga Reveals Album Cover...Feel Free to Laugh

Check out the recently released album cover for Lady Gaga's Born This Way.

...

.......

Umm is this a joke or something?

Seriously?

Hahahaha, I'm sorry but this is this silliest thing I have ever seen. I know Gags is probably thinking she looks super cool as a, um, half motorcycle cyborg? But someone needs to step in sometimes and just say "ENOUGH".

I'm not saying her music isn't delivering like Domino's (the recently released "Judas" is OUT OF CONTROL good), but seriously, this album cover is ridic.

What do you think?

Brit's Record Breaking Week

Brit's done it again!!

This week has been a whirlwind of activity for the queen of pop, starting with the news that her 7th studio album, Femme Fatale, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, becoming her 6th chart topping album.

This puts her in a tie for second place among women for the most #1 albums in history (tied with Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson), only behind Madonna (7) and Barbra Streisand (9).

That's pretty good company if you ask me!

Her latest disc sold 276,000 in its first week, a decline from 2008's Circus (which opened at #1 with 505,00), but given that this wasn't her "huge" comeback and the state of the music biz today, that ain't too shabby!!

Britney also becomes the youngest artist ever to have a number one debut album in THREE different decades. She first did it in 1999 with her classic debut album ...Baby One More Time, and then did it 4 more times in the 2000's with Oops...I Did It Again! (2000), Britney (2001), In The Zone (2003), and the aforementioned Circus in 2008.

The only Britney album to not debut at #1 was 2007's Blackout, which had to settle for #2 after Billboard changed its rules about albums being exclusively sold by only one retailer (long story...).

And she's only 29 years old!!!

With her single "Till The World Ends" continuing to ride high on the charts (not to mention a SICK new music video), it looks like Britney is headed for another monster year.

Congrats!!!!

Taylor Swifts Tops 20 Million

It was a big week for country queen Taylor Swift, who was recognized while on tour this week for reaching a huge milestone in her career - surpassing 20 million albums sold worldwide!

Amazing! Considering she has only released 3 albums during her short career, this is a super impressive feat. Not to mention that record sales continue to plummet, this is an amazing achievement!

Swift's 2006 major label debut, appropriately titled Taylor Swift became an smash hit, selling 5 million copies in the U.S. alone and spawning a slew of country and pop hits like "Tim McGraw", and "Teardrops on My Guitar". She followed that up in '08 with the even bigger Fearless which debuted at #1, sold 6 million copies, and won Tay Tay the Grammy for Album of the Year, becoming the youngest winner of the coveted prize EVER.

She continued to dominate the music world when last year she did the unthinkable and sold over 1 million copies of her third disc Speak Now, becoming only the 4th woman in history to do it (Britney Spears has the biggest debut by a female of all time, when she rocketed to the #1 spot in 2000 with her sophomore album Oops...I Did It Again! which scanned over 1.3 million in its first 7 days).

So congratulations Ms. Swift!! Can't wait to see what you have planned next!!
