Japan Slowly Taking Over the World
The United World Chart tracks and follows the biggest selling albums in the world. Last week the Japanese boy band Arashi debuts at #1 with their greatest hits collection, which sold over 750,000 last week.
HOLY MOTHER! That is a huge amount! Over the year I have been noticing a lot of Japanese groups that I am unfamiliar with open to huge sales. Now United World Chart is saying that soon Japan will be the biggest market in the world.
Great for Japan, not great for the United States, which has been the biggest market for some time now. In comparison, the next best selling NEW album in the world is the Black Eyed Peas "The E.N.D." which sold 120,000 last week.
