I don't think I've liked an Eminem song in probably 5 years (Lose Yourself was super epic and I joined the masses with that one), but his latest duet with Rihanna has completely got me back into the Slim Shady world."Love the way you Lie" is the best rap/sung duet this year, (that's saying a lot, considering Jay-Z and Alicia Keys "Empire State of Mind" was such a knockout), and I simply just CANNOT stop listening to it!
Eminem has always been a fierce lyricist, but he's been missing some of his swagger and attitude before his latest album Recovery came out last month. The album has catapulted him back to superstardom, as it sits at #1 for the 4Th consecutive week, and "Love the way you Lie" replaces Katy Perry's "California Gurls" as the #1 song in the country.
I have to say though, the reason why this song is so huge is thanks largely in part to Rihanna. As the ultimate hook girl, Rihanna has supplied some of the best choruses to some rap/sung classics (T.I.'s "Live Your Life", Jay-Z's "Run This Town", etc.)
If RiRi wasn't on this track it would definitely not be as popular. It happens to be her 7Th #1 single since 2005, the most out of any artist int that span of time.
